Can't copy and paste from a pdf file

Version: 2019.010.20069

I'm able to select text

Content Copying is: Allowed

Instead of text I get characters ( __!"_#_$ )

Using windows 10

This is a issue with the font encoding in the PDF file.

You can't solve it if you only have the free Reader. Report the issue to the author of the file.

Funny thing is the author is just myself... It seems that I need to type everything again... I am using acrobat pro

Well, that's a different matter... How did you create the file? Do you still have access to the original file format? If not, you can export the pages as images (use high-quality PNG format), then create a new PDF from those images and run Text Recognition on it.
