Can't install Adobe Reader on MAC

New Here ,
Sep 08, 2017 Sep 08, 2017

I can't seem to install the Adobe DC on my mac. I downloaded it and opened the file, then pressed open when prompted and then nothing has happened

It said to

1. Locate the downloaded file and double-click to mount the disk image.

2. Double-click Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

3. Agree by Clicking Open.

4. Enter Name and Password and click OK.

I've done steps 1,2,3 but step 4 never happens

Hi Erinc,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are unable to install Adobe Reader on your mac, is that correct?

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the link below:

Sorry for the delay in response. Could you please try troubleshooting steps given under step#1 (not# 2) under correct answer in the following link and check if that resolves the issue: Reader 10.1.0 and updates won't install OS X 10.7 Lion

Keep us posted with the results.

Thanks for betting back to me. I am afraid that I am not wasting any more time on this. I have already had to restore my Mac from Time Machine. Updates still will not install and the Reader Updater advises me to uninstall previous versions of Adobe Reader and install a new version. That is where I started getting into difficulties previously. I will just use Preview as my PDF reader.

Thanks.
