Cannot save the document

The most recent version of Adobe Acrobat reader DC will not allow a fill and signed document to be save nor will it exit the document or allow the reader to be closed.

Please help!

Hi Morganb,

As you said above that Reader cannot save or close the document, do you receive an error message?

What exactly happens when you try to save the document or close the document?

As you have mentioned that you are using the recent version, please share the exact dot version of the application.

Take help of the steps mentioned here Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC to check the dot version of the application.

Also, let us know the OS installed on your system.

Hi Meenakshi,

The document in question is an current PDF into which I wish to  fill an sign and then safe the document , once a text/ signature is added the program freezes and nothing can be done it will not save or can you close the program there are no error messages, nothing happens the program can only be close by using windows task manager.

The current version of Reader DC is 2018.009.20050

My current OS is Window 7 Pro Service pack 1
