win 7 64 bit pro up to date.  I7 processor 4000 series 16gb ram

the chrome pdf extension is installed and enabled

yet at every website when I click on a pdf file my only option is to download

already tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe and extension and rebooting

the adobe icon is present in browser

i check adobe plugins and the IA32.api is loaded

what's strange is that I have a second computer at work with virtually the same configuration and there the pdf opens

i compared settings between the two computers for adobe, chrome and the pdf extension and they seem to be the same

anyone with any ideas?

The Chrome PDF extension from Adobe no longer has anything to do with showing a PDF.  Google stopped that working. You may be trying to folllow out of date instructions from the old days.
