I am using Adobe Reader XI -- the free version.
I do not know what I did, but now whenever I have a document open in the reader, I see one of the following when I use the cursor:
When the cursor setting is "Select Tool", I see two cursors, side-by-side.
When the cursor setting is "Hand Tool", I see a cursor and a hand, side-by-side.
This is distracting and annoying.
How do I re-set the cursor to its proper default?
Thanks.
William.

Hi William,
Sorry for the delay in response.
As you mentioned that you see two cursors when you use Select or Hand tool, check the pointer type selected for the cursor once.
You can check it under the Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers.
Check the options selected there.
If this issue occurs only in the Reader application, try repairing the application.
To repair, launch the application and go to Help > Repair Installation.
There is no setting in application to change the behavior of the cursor.
I would suggest you to update the application to the latest version available.
Adobe Reader XI is an old and unsupported version of the application.
Try Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from here Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
You can use the Adobe cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs to remove the old version from the system.
Hope the information helps.
Let us know if you still experience the issue.
Regards,
Meenakshi
