Enable SharePoint Services after it has been disabled.

New Here ,
Feb 22, 2023 Feb 22, 2023

Back in 2014 we I disabled sharepointservices in Acrobat Reader for all users via GPO.

Using this reg entry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown\cSharePoint]
"bDisableSharePointFeatures"=dword:00000001

Even though the reg is for version 11 of Acrobat Reader the change carried over to DC with no change to the reg in GPO.

Now when I need to enable sharepoint services again I can't.

Deleting the reg entry on the local mashince does not change anything.

Changing the 1 to a 0 in "bDisableSharePointFeatures" does nothing.

Is this setting no longer changeable in the registry once it has been set?

Hi @frederikn5083760,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry to hear about your experience with Acrobat Reader.

Have you tried installing and configuring SharePoint to Acrobat as mentioned here: Deploy Adobe Acrobat for SharePoint and OneDrive

Please try the steps mentioned and let us know if this work.

-Souvik.
