Hi- Normally my Acrobat Reader comes up with the Menu and Toolbar displayed. However, I have one particular document (it is a billing statement) that is always loaded with the Menu and Toolbar hidden.
F8 & F9 always brings the Menu and Toolbar back (took me a LONG TIME to find that option/feature), but is that controlled by the document creator?
I.E. - I only see this statement once a month and I FINALLY have gotten to the point that I remember the F8 & F9 options -- BUT is there any kind of option in the Adobe Reader that will have the Menu and Toolbar ALWAYS displayed, no matter what the creator did to hide them (whatever he did)?

Yes, it is controlled by the document's creator, and yes, you can override it.
To do so go to Edit - Preferences - Documents and tick off "Allow documents to hide the menu bar..." box.

Hey great -- it works -- thanks for the help.
I did look through the Preferences, but missed the option you pointed out.
Thanks again. Will mark your answer as correct.

What if the "allow documents to hide..." option is not available to click. Is there a way that I can change this please?
