I have a problem with acrobat reader dc, it has one function "fill and sign" which does not work for me. When I want to add text I fail, when clicked anywhere in the document it just inserts the non-editable text "Enter text" or " Enter t".

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to use the fill and sign tool in Acrobat Reader DC application. when clicked anywhere in the document it just inserts the non-editable text "Enter text" or " Enter t".

 

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version goto Help . About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.05.20048 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Also try to repair installation (Win Only) from the help menu. Go to Help > Repair Installation

 

If it doesn't work, try to reset the Acrobat preferences to default as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

 

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.
