FTP server

Hi

Previously there was an FTP server were you could download older versions of Acrobat Reader.

The URL was: 

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

I can't reach that URL anymore. I don't know if  it is something wrong with my browser or if the link doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone know?

Many browsers block FTP today, but don't say so. You need a dedicated FTP client app.

How do I use that? I've read a little about it. I downloaded a FTP app and tried to install it but beside the URL of the FTP I must have a username and a password to access the FTP. That wasn't necessary before. I don't have a username and a password.

There have been some changes on the FTP server, and it seems like some of the versions are gone after that.

Before there were different versions of Acrobat Reader in different languages. I'm looking for versions in swedish.

After version 11.0 there were versions of Acrobat Reader DC from 2015, 2017 and 2019 in swedish. They are now gone. Is there somewere else I can download them, or do they still exist on the FTP?

Adobe have stopped using the FTP server for new updates. 

Also, the updates can be applied to any base language. So take any Swedish Acrobat Reader DC and apply the updates.

But before I can update any version I need the swedish base version. Were do I get that?

You can try the MUI version of Acrobat Reader 2020.

MUI really means "all languages". Stands for something but I don't know what.

I've read a little about it and it seems like I can put a MUI version on every language. But it also means if I want a swedish version I must have some kind of swedish base version, or else I think the language will be english.

Sorry, but his answer is "incomplete."   Adobe continued uploading "updates" for all products that remain in their "support lifecycle."  Most of these are now "legacy" (perpetual license) products, but the updates are current.  If the product comes on a CD/DVD, then updates continue to be uploaded to that server.
