Grayed out PDF when pulling up a report in PDF

We are getting a grayed out PDF when pulling a report from out application.  See the screenshot below.

The current verson of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is 2020.012.20041.  Any reason why this would be happening?

It's Adobe Reader within a Citrix application.  When selecting a group of reports within the Citrix application the application opens Adobe Reader in Citrix so users can view the reports.  Once in a while we get a blank PDF like the one above in the screen shot.

I see. Try this:

Go to Edit (or the Reader menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - Page Display and tick "Show large images".
