I need some help with converting or reading an XML file I have had sent to me from a form I created in Adobe LiveCycle ES2 without using the full Adobe Office Suite (I think if I have all the other programs, I shouldn't have to have additional permissions to see the form I was able to create, don't you think?). I'm looking to view the form in Reader or Acrobat or even in LiveCycle itself, and throughout my search I've just been hitting brick walls. Any help out there?
If it's Acrobat X or later click Tools and look under Forms. Perhaps More Options - Manage Form Data - Import.

XML (Extensible HTML) is not a file type that Adobe Reader can open. Usually only a browser or editor (like Dreamweaver or Notepad/TextEdit) can open XML files. You'd need create a PDF of it using Acrobat Pro or Adobe's online service.
A caveat though: Since XML is intended to be "parsed" and interpreted by a browser to properly display it's content; what you see in a browser, and what you see in a printout will be entirely different.

I've attempted using Acrobat Pro to do the conversion, but it simply won't allow it. Are there easier ways to have an online or fillable form, created in an Adobe program, such as LiveCycle or Acrobat Pro, sent or saved in a pdf format?
For example: I make a form using an Adobe Program and put it online for people to fill out. They fill it out and click a button to email it to me. When I open it, is there a way to see it as a PDF document?
Thank you for your help thus far. It has been much more informative than many of the forums I've attempted to decipher.

Acrobat Pro is what you need, but if you are going to "conversion" you're definitely in the wrong place. I haven't done this with LiveCycle forms, but I'd think you should be able to open the form, then import the XML data to fill it.

Okay, I see what you're saying. I have the original form opened in Adobe Acrobate Pro and cannot find the function to import XML data. Is there a trick to it or am I blind?

And it worked! Thank you so much! You just saved my coworkers from a tantrum the likes of which this office has never seen. Much appreciated.
