I want to know how to disable a password on a multi pdf file.

I don't think that is possible with the free Reader, you must have a paid version of Acrobat

And, you of course must have the original password to be able to open and edit the file

I paid for the Export version and I also have the password. Please let me know if this can be done.

No, you must have Acrobat to be able to do it.
