How to do text recognition on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Hi

How do I run a text recognition on my pdf documents on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? My app version is 2019.021.20061.

Reader doesn’t do that. You need to pay for Acrobat.

Click on the “Edit PDF” tool in the right pane. Acrobat automatically applies optical character recognition (OCR) to your document and converts it to a fully editable copy of your PDF. Click the text element you wish to edit and start typing. New text matches the look of the original fonts in your scanned image.

It doesn't anymore.  Also there used to be an actual Recognize Text tool that worked better than Edit but it doesn't seem to be there anymore.

It's called Scan & OCR now but it doesn't seem to work.  After running it, I can't change any of the text.  It just doesn't work like it did before.  I wish Adobe would follow the old rule, If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
