I'm running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v2019.021.20056
Windows 10 Pro
Office 2016
When I convert a pdf to a Word doc; it saves it in "Compatability Mode".
I would like to save it as a 2016 Word Doc by default.
How do I change the default?

Hi there
Thanks for reaching out. As described above you want to export the PDF to Word without the compatibility mode
Compatibility mode is the MS Word feature and Acrobat / Reader DC doesn't have a hold on it. However, once the PDF is converted to Word file you can convert the file from compatibility mode to normal mode as follows:
Hope it will help

Thanks Amal.
I understand it's a feature of Word and that I can "re-save" it.
Also, I have .docx as the default save format in Word.
Furthermore, when I'm in Adobe and converting to Word, I have chosen the feature to save as a .docx file. But as originally stated, it saves it in compatability mode.
Adobe is the only software that forces it to be saved in compatability mode and I'm trying to avoid having to resave every single file.
Thanks in advance for any help as this is very time consuming.
