I just installed Acrobat Reader DC. It's a nice idea to put all files that are open at the same time in tabs of one window, but I sometimes want to look at two files side by side (for instance to compare a file and a revision of it), as was possible with older versions of Reader. Is there any way to show two files at the same time?
Hi,
You can either drag the PDF out of the application, to open it in a new window.
Or you can go to Edit menu > Preferences > General and unmark the box for "Open documents as new tabs in the same window".
Then click on the OK tab below and relaunch the application.

Meenakshi

The problem here is having all documents in tabs in the same window, and wanting to see too documents. The long-obsolete Reader XI does not have tabs at all, so you cannot have the same problem. What is the problem you want to solve?

The option to open the PDF in a separate window has disappeared. Where is this?
Edit menu > Preferences > General and unmark the box for "Open documents as new tabs in the same window".
