Use a other browser. Or save the form on your system and open it with Acrobat Reader.

Tx for that. But to use a different browser, I have to ask how! When I use the internet my laptop automatically uses Google. Do you mean eg use Internet explorer? If so how do I change it?

A little more detail to help. Some browsers (Like Chrome or MS Edge) use their own pdf viewers. These viewers for the most part are ok but they hate certain types forms so you get that weird message. The best way around this would be to right-click on the link to the pdf file (don't try and open it in the browser first, just right-click the link), choose to save it to your computer, open Reader then use File>Open to open the pdf file.

You can of course download and install (if you haven't already) Internet Explorer and use that to navigate to the pdf on the website but to me that seems like a lot of extra work. Saving the pdf and opening in Reader is easier.

Hi anthonyb62273544,

Thanks for writing in to us.

Google Chrome use their own PDF viewer and Adobe Reader is not involved in any workflow.

You can use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox (ESR- 32 bit) which supports 'Adobe PDF Reader' plugin. You can make these browser as your default browser. Steps to do so -

1. Open Control Panel.

2. Search for 'Default Programs' options.

3. Select 'Internet Explore' or 'Firefox' and click on 'Set this program as default'.

4. Click on Ok.

Please let us know if this worked for you.

Thanks,

Gagan

Hi Anthony,

In Chrome, you can set the default app for pdf's to be "not Chrome".

Click on Settings. Show Advanced Settings. Content Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up window, and check the box "Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application."

Close Chrome and re-open it.  Should work fine.
