I cannot get result when searching for PDF file in my computer

Hi,

I'm windows 7 32-bit.

I have Adobe Reader DC installed in my computer. when I make a search in the windows of text word or a number that is inside the PDF files, I get zero results but when I search by the name of the PDF files, it appears.

I have uninstalled Adobe Reader DC and installed Adobe Reader XI, the problem just gone and when I make a search of word side the PDF file, I get some result.

The issue here is only when I use Adobe Reader DC. I tried to keep Adobe Reader XI installed but it automatically updated to DC.

So please can you help me this.

Hi bandrs89947285,

Try "Repair installation" under the Help menu.

Could you please share the exact dot version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using.

Have you tried this on multiple PDF's? If not, try searching the text of different PDF.

Let us know about the results.

Please do share the exact steps you do, so we can try replicating same at our end.

It will be helpful if you can share some files on which you experience the issue.
