Bonjour,
Cordialement
Béatrice

@beatricel64691267 if you have Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, which plans do you have? Creative Cloud All? If so, you would get Acrobat Pro which is part of the program. If not, then just go ahead and download the free Acrobat Reader.
So, what were you using to view your PDFs in the first place? Right-click the Acrobat shortcut and select 'Run as administrator,' if it opens, the issue might be a permissions conflict on your new Windows 11 setup.

Hello Anand Sri,
I am fine and you.
Before I contacted you I updated Acrobat Reader, I have updated the application and today no updating is available, see attached file.
The cards Nvidia, AMD and Windows 11 are updated. Maybe this information will help you.
On my computer :
in Programmes it is Acrobat DC
in Programmes (x86) it is Acrobat Reader DC
in the Windows applications it is Adobe Acrobat (64 bits)
Please find attached 2 PDF files "Rimbaud" dated february 2025 and "Serie rouge" I made today and both files when I open them the message "do you wish..." appears.
Many thanks for your help,
Béatrice

I hope you are doing well. I apologize for the delayed response.
We can open the attached PDF files on both Windows and Mac. Please install the latest build and check: 25.001.2084x Planned update, Nov 03, 2025. For testing purposes, please create a test user profile with full admin rights, install Acrobat, and try.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello,
Thanks but I inform you that I am not very good with computers.
I confirm that I can open the PDF files but each time when I open it I get the message.
Today I tried to update Acrobat Reader and I have the message "no update is available" the version 25.001.20844 is installed. Must I suppress this version and install the version 25.001.2084x? Where I can find it?
What is a tester profile and how to do it?
Or do you have easy solution?
Thanks for your help,
Béatrice

Hello @beatricel64691267
See this article to learn more about creating a test user profile with full admin rights: Manage User Accounts in Windows.
You have the latest version installed; however, it seems to be an issue with the user profile. Please create the test user profile and test it, then let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Hello,
I am sorry for my late reply.
The test user profile 25.001.2084x is only available in English, several versions are available and I do not know which one I must use.
For your information, the Adobe Acrobat is not in Creative Cloud, see my screenshot, only the Pro version which I do not need.
As mentionned previously I have 2 Acrobat applications on my Computer.
I checked my user profil but I could not find an error.
Maybe I must stay with the actual Acrobat Reader and type each time yes to allow the opening.
Again may thanks for help

Béatrice

Thank you for sharing detailed information @beatricel64691267
You can remove one of the apps if you don't have a subscription to Adobe Acrobat and can keep and use the freeware Reader DC. You can use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove the app. We checked and verified your Adobe ID (email), which you have used to sign in to the community. We don't see any subscription to Acrobat. So we would suggest removing Acrobat using the Cleaner tool and using the Reader app.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

Hello
Sorry to bother you again.
I used the Cleaner tool and the Reader disappeared but not the Acrobat Reader DC which has been which been switched from my old computer to the new one in 2020. See attached screenshot.
The Acrobat Reader DC figures only in the Program x 86 files but not in my application files. Shall I delete manually this file and than reinstall the Reader?
Many thanks
Regards
Béatrice

Thanks for the response.
You can run the cleaner tool again to ensure that the files are removed.
If not, then continue with the manual deletion of the folders.
Regards,
Souvik.
