Inserting a certificate into a PDF.

New Here ,
Jun 19, 2025 Jun 19, 2025

iPad iOS 18.

Installed Acrobat Reader from the App Store.

Acrobat Reader does not show the Certificates option in Tools.

Is there a way to sign PDF documents with a certificate on an iPad? It works on a Windows PC. I searched but couldn't find anything. The procedure I found refers to this path Tools/Certificates, but I don't have it there.

Please advise, thank you.

As far as I know digital signing only is a feature of the desktop versions of Acrobat, not the tablet or mobile versions.

Hello!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

As correctly highlighted by our community product expert, on iPad with iOS 18, the Adobe Acrobat Reader app currently does not support certificate-based digital signatures (i.e., signing with a digital ID or certificate) the way it does on Windows.

I hope this helps.
