Link to a page in PDF - not working on mobile

I have a client trying to create specific page links to a PDF online using "URL#page=25" . the issue is the link works on desktop and not mobile, Looking through these forums I found this issue is because of the "=" sign.

Example:

http://cancer.ucsf.edu/_docs/UCSFCancerCenter_ASH2018_Brochure.pdf#page=25

Works on desktop, on chrome and firefox but NOT on mobile

http://cancer.ucsf.edu/_docs/UCSFCancerCenter_ASH2018_Brochure.pdf#page25

Works on mobile but NOT desktop

if you dont include the "=" sign at the end both mobile browsers support this.

is this a bug ? is there an alternate method to link to specific pages ?

The PDF Open Parameters are only supported by Adobe software, and only when the file is opened in a browser, using Adobe's plugin.

It's not likely to work in any other situation, although other plugins might have their own syntax (as you seem to have discovered) to achieve it.

Has there been any solution or workaround to this since it was posted? I am having this probem right now and it's frustrating!
