Hi,
I have noticed lately that after closing all documents (⌘-w), Acrobat Reader X stays open. There is a switch in preferences for "Show home screen when all documents are closed" which I have unchecked. Now the application just stays open in the App Launcher. How do I get Acrobat X to quit when I close the last open document. I understand ⌘-q quits, but I prefer to not use that as it will close all documents.
Thanks,
Nachum

There's no such option, as far as I know. Does Word close automatically when you close all documents in it? Does Excel? This is not a standard feature.

Word is an editor, Adobe Reader is a viewer. In MacOS, Preview closes soon after all photos are closed. Quicktime closes soon anfter all movies are closed. MacVim has an option to close when all documents are closed. It would be nice to have that option.

This is now possible from preferences.

Read the discussion again. They clearly say """There is a switch in preferences for "Show home screen when all documents are closed" which I have unchecked."""
The button does not work
