I just installed Adobe reader and found out that the installer installed McAfee without any notice or mention of McAfee. This is just a shady act by Adobe. What other software is Adobe installing on my computer without my permission? How can anyone trust such a shady company?

@max_2086 You do know, you have the The "Opt-Out" option. It's typically presented with a checkbox on one of the installer screens, frequently pre-checked, that says something like "Yes, I'd like to install McAfee Security Scan Plus" or "Includes McAfee." Users, eager to just get Reader installed, click "Next" through the screens without noticing this subtle opt-out option. I read everything, and uncheck these options. So, it isn't Adobe doing a shady act, YOU need to slow down and read the screens what's involved.
