Merci schon mal.
Hi @volker_3014,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.
If you're seeing this with specific files and want to make sure they never show bookmarks:
Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro.
Go to File > Properties.
Click the Initial View tab.
Under Navigation tab, select "Page Only".
Click OK, then Save the file.
Here's another thread which discusses an issue similar to yours. Do give it a read and let us know if it helps: https://adobe.ly/3RxkW1D.

Hi @IngoXXL
Hope you are doing well.
We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive and get more out of Acrobat.
We are actively working on all the currently unavailable features, such as customizing the All Tools positioning or user interface. And we will address them with the highest priority. This issue has already been raised to our engineering team and is being worked on.

Hi @IngoXXL
Looking at the description, it shows that you are currently working with the Modern Viewer of Acrobat Reader.
Close the tool pane first, then Navigate to Preferences>Documents and select "Remember current state of toolpane">OK
Try now, and let us know if it still doesn't preserve the setting after checking the preferences dialog.
To know more about the modern viewer, please refer to this help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html
Thanks,

Hallo Akanchha,
ja, es ist die neue Version.
Die genannte Einstellung war bereits aktiv (siehe SS), weil das Fenster auf der rechten Seite ebenfalls nervig war.
Gruß, Ingo

Hello from Bavaria, we too had this issue on multiple computers (1000) at a customers office. Another problem is the "share as link" by mail, which requires an adobe account, that finally was possible to deactivate by GroupPolicies.
Guys .. remeber when Reader setup.exe was small enougth to be placed on a floppy disk ... All worked easy, smart AND stable. What adobe does, with all products, is a unreasonable demand for users (especialle the ones, who pay for adobe cloud) ... Maybe adobe should think over this bling-bling-glitter tinkering and go back to the roots, otherwise, someday other products make the day ...

If your critical workflows are impacted, you can switch to the old UI from the “Menu” on the top left corner of Windows and View Menu on MacOS. We will follow up with a detailed community-featured post, guiding you to familiarise yourself with the new interface and regular updates on upcoming changes.

So can you actually start working on a fix already?!

This is such a basic problem and very annoying. I don't get, why nothing is done about this. Nobody can tell me that this was addressed with hightest priority. This is a basic and easy change to make an option to not show this on every start. When you have to open PDF on a regular basis, multiple times per day and you never need this window... I don't get why not many more people speak up about this. It is annoying as hell to have to click it away EVERY time I open a pdf.

I feel your pain! Same problem in our company. We solved it by simply using a different PDF viewer. Don´t know if that works for you. We do not understand why you would annoy the hell out of your customers. It´s not getting anyone more productive. Most people simply don´t use it. It´s an easy fix for you guys. Please do something about it.

Same here, I have to oven 10 oder 20 PDFs a day - and have to close the f*cking bar every time to get the document displayed "usable"...
I think the bar pops up everytime to get some Money from thr "premium" features liekt converting a F+cking PDF to an other format - things, you can do for free with PDF24 or online for many years. And Adobe wants 20€/month. So I don't think, the bar will go anywhere soon -_-

It's very simple: top left menu, then "disable new Acrobat view". Then restart Adobe Reader.
