I open a document this morning and was faced with the new Adobe Acrobat screen.
It [inappropriate]!
The 'old' screen is completely functional for my needs, and works exactly as I need it to. Luckily after a bit of searching, I found an option to switch off the 'new adobe', but when open the program the first thing is another popup asking if I want to try the new Adobe!
How can I stop seeing this popup, and how can I assure I'm not forced in the future to use this program, like an auto update, etc.?
Adobe used to be about supporting people's creativity. Now it's about being flashy and selling us more crap
Adobe, quit trying to sell us crap, and force us to use updates when we don't want to!

Go to Menu and on the drop down menu there is a "disable new adobe" feature.

The new layout sucks. I can't find anything nor do I have the time or desire to learn. Why would you make such a drastic UI change? People get used to things and while it's ok to improve, creating an entire new UI that is unlike the other tools people use all day (MS Tools, Google Tools, etc) is silly and will only make people upset and frrustrated.
I was paying monthly for acrobat thru an employer. I found PDF XChange. It has an easy to use menu with what looks like way more features. It cost under 60.00 and now I own it. No more monthly fees. If I want premium support, I can pay yearly for that but after the 1st year, I think they answered all my questions.
If the new Acrobat UI menus are confusing you, check out https://pdf-xchange.eu/. I've done more PDF edits in this tool then I ever did in Adobe.
As far as other adobe products, I'ver used the video editor and that was awesome.
They really should give more menu display options in acrobat, like the abilkity to use the old UI.

Hahahahaha
I just changed jobs and went from Windows to Mac - a couple of things are good... but omg, MacOS misses so much basic functionality that Windows has built-in. Mac fanboys/fangirls "there's a 3rd party app you can install that does that", so now I have a dozen 3rd party apps installed for basic navigation/productivity functionality which is inbuilt in Windows OS. And I can't use PDF Xchange Editor, which :pile_of_poo:'s all over Acrobat.

This does not work. It still opens in the new format, with the "Acrobat has a new look" popup that opens every single time I open a document.
Luckily, this is on my work computer and I will be retiring soon and won't have to deal with it any longer.

Thank god I'm not the only one having this issue and thanks for the resolution. I can't believe they paid people and spent time on making something that worked just fine - and flushed it down the toilet for this new garbage.

Thank you for the tip turning off the "New Adobe The previous version of Acrobat found to be buggy ("hand" scrolling difficult to select among other anoyances) Found the new version unuseable. The 2 New versions a steep regression. Hard to beleive any beta testing to the general public was prefromed before release.

Perhaps this was designed in a vacuum? This program is unusable.

Have to agree 100%. The new Adobe Acrobate is AWFUL. Did Adobe ever think to try a test run or a Beta so people could give feedback? Or do they just go off half-cocked and decide everyone will love it? I'm also getting ad ppages FORCING me to try Adobe esignatures. This is completely unethical and a huge disappointment from a company I have relied on to be genuine and quality based for a decade. Might have to find an alternative if this is how Adobe does business now. Did they sell to Elon Musk??

Adobe Acrobat Pro is terrible. They charge $19.99 a month and the program keeps getting worse & worse. Every update causes issues and half the time the files you save in Adobe end up corrupted. Used to be a great product but really a flawed program. Go back to the way it was and stop these constant updates and unreliability.

The people who designed the new Acrobat and the people who accept the design have no design intuition. The functionality and availability of the most frequently used tools in Acrobat are a disaster.

Absolutely terrible, counterintuivive and a huge step backwards. Massive time waster of an upgrade. Just do yourself a favor and revert back to the old version. I have this new version with a passion. As a full time design professional that has been supporting Adobe for decades I find it truly insulting to have this forced upon me.

Thank you so much for this. It solved my problem. I was about to cancel my subscription as it was so glitchy and kept freezing. Editing was a nightmare.
