Hello,
I've been trying to copy a table from a pdf file, but I can only highlight and select the table text (instead of selecting a blue square around it). When I right-click on it, the only copy option that appears is "Copy", and I can't seem to copy with formatting. I've tried on Mac and Windows and haven't been able to find a solution. How can I solve this?
Yes, this is a feature of the paid-for Acrobat, not of the free Reader.

You can't simply copy the layout of a table from a PDF file. PDFs were not invented to do such things. A PDF domain is to present its layout absolut identical on every computer they are being viewed. It doesn't work like ofther office formats like docx oder xslx. If you have Acrobat try the Export PDF feature to convert the PDF into another format. It may be what you're after.

Hello. Thank you for your reply.
It should be possible, as in the same document a coworker can select a table and have the "copy with formatting" option appear, while I can only select the table text and "copy". I am starting to think this is an option restricted to the paid version only, even though I can't find anything stating so.

Hello!
I hope you are doing well.
As correctly highlighted by our community expert, the option to copy with formatting is available with the paid version of Acrobat Pro desktop. See this article to learn more about reusing PDF content: https://adobe.ly/3EF3GEI
For the plan and pricing of Acrobat, visit this link: https://adobe.ly/4jorQSZ
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
