I'm not sure If I can truly explain this, but I'll give it a go. I'm trying to print in A5, which I don't have access to. I do have A4, so my obvious option is simply print 2 pages per sheet in A4. Here's my problem:
I want to print double sided, but my printer is a single-sided printer. So I've used the method of printing even only, then odd only and reversing the pages. But reverse pages doesn't flip the order of everything, only the order the paper prints. So the pages within the same sheet of paper are still in the original order, which means page 1 of the document isn't opposite page 2 of the document like I want, but is instead opposite page 4.
They will not flip within the sheet of paper, it just won't work. Only the order of the paper is flipping, not the pages on the sheet. I'm at a loss and nowhere online seems to have the answer. I'm on a windows device if that helps?

You can specify the page numbers you want to print. A simple script or macro can be used to print out the list in the correct order, so you don't need to type them all in manually.

It's not the number of pages that I'm struggling with, its that they won't go in the right order. The button to "reverse pages" doesn't switch them if they're on the same paper. So for example, if page 1 is on the left and page 3 is on the right on the first sheet of paper, and page 5 is on the left and page 7 is on the right of the other piece of paper, the paper will swap around but 1 is still on the left and 3 is still on the right. It means 1 is never opposite 2 like I need, unless I make it upside down

I understood that, but by specifying the page numbers you can determine their order.
If you enter "1,3,5,7" it will print them in that order. If you enter "1,5,3,7" the same pages will print, but in a different order.
