Hello! I have recently started using 3D PDF file viewing technology. I generate a 3D PDF file in SolidWorks. It contains not only a 3D model, but also highlighted dimensions, roughness, etc. But when I open a 3D PDF file, it starts loading all available views. At the same time, when it loads, all the records that were added separately from the 3D model start to disappear (the main inscription, which contains the mass, information about the developers and approvers, material; and the record about technical requirements also disappears). These records are added via SW links, and to the 3D PDF template itself via a table. Can anyone tell me what's going on? I really need your help!

Hello @kirill_1080
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Could you please share whether you are opening the PDF file in the Acrobat app or the freeware Acrobat Reader? Please ensure you have the latest version of the app installed: 25.001.20643 Optional update, Aug 25, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app, and the machine.
A few things might be happening in your case:
Loading of Views – When the PDF loads all available 3D views, Acrobat may refresh or re-render the model space. During this process, linked annotations or table entries that aren’t fully embedded can temporarily disappear.
Linked Metadata (SW links) – If your inscriptions and requirements are linked to SolidWorks properties instead of being fully embedded, Acrobat may not display them correctly after the 3D view refresh. In some cases, only static text or “baked in” annotations persist reliably.
3D PDF Template Behavior – Depending on how your template is set up, table-based entries (like title blocks or requirement notes) may not be preserved once Acrobat processes the 3D content.
Enable Multimedia Options:
Go to Menu > Preferences > 3D & Multimedia and ensure all rendering and playback options are enabled. For more information, see this article: Enable 3D content in PDF.
If the information must always remain visible, you may need to export the metadata as part of a static table/text layer (flattened into the PDF), rather than relying only on the live 3D model links.
If the issue continues, please share the details of the operating system installed, the current version of the Acrobat or Reader app installed, and a sample PDF file with us for further investigation.
Thanks,
Anand Sri | Acrobat Community Team

Hello, @AnandSri !
I opened Acrobat Pro and the free Acrobat Reader. A new version was installed. In the paid and free versions, everything was repeated.
Yes, the recordings do disappear after updating the graphic window with the detail. But not all of them disappear, but only a part. in other words, the record of technical requirements disappears, but the nameplate with names and information does not.
The technical requirements and nameplate are the same, and in fact they are the same element, only with different information.
It is unlikely that there is an error in the template itself. The order of the layers is not broken and nothing blocks the records. In fact, there can be nothing in the template settings themselves because there are not so many settings and actual buttons in SolidWorks, so there is nothing to break there.
I use the parameters of the 3D content animation, but thanks for the clarification.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to re-export with fewer species, as they have been reduced to a minimum. The main view (isometry) is on the first sheet. There are three additional graphic windows on the second sheet.
The problem remains. Moreover, there is no such problem in other PDF readers. But from the point of view of stability, I like Acrobat more, unfortunately it has such a problem in the form of disappearing records.

The situation on the two Adobe programs is the same
I am attaching two screenshots from 3D PDF files.
In the first screenshot:
The orange color is highlighted on the plaque, which does not disappear after updating the views.
The purple color shows the graphic window of the part, you can interact with the part (rotate it, zoom in and out, click and highlight).
The green one shows the views that specify the location of the part in the graphical window. To highlight this line of tools, it is enough to move the mouse cursor to the graphical window. I recommend switching through them.
The red note shows all the problems with it - it disappears after updating the views.
The second screenshot shows three independent graphical windows, with the same actions as on the first sheet.
I am adding a 3D PDF file to the message.
After opening the 3D PDF file, I ask you to:
1. Rotate the part in the graphic window (first, second sheet).
2. Additionally, set the location of the part using the "Views" tool (shown in the first screenshot in green).
3. Interact with the file, rotate, press on the lines, run.
With respect,
Kirill

Heello @AnandSri !
I've just scrolled through a few files. For about 1 out of 10 files, there is still an error that the text disappears. I'm a little sad, but the situation is already much better.

Hello @AnandSri !
The situation has become more frequent.
When the model display changes (shown in red in the attachment), the text disappears again.
Now the text disappears when opening, as it was before(
Can you tell me if your situation is similar?
Please suggest your solution to this problem.
With respect,
Kirill

Hello @kirill_1080
Thank you for sharing the details. This does work at my end. I was able to interact with the PDF and the graphics, and the text did not disappear. Please install the latest build of Acrobat: 25.001.20693 Planned update, Sept 09, 2025, restart the machine, and check.
If you still experience the issue, please do a screen recording of the issue, collect the logs, and share them. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. After that, close the Log Collector tool; it will generate the logs along with a log ID. Please share this log ID with us for further investigation.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
