When Quicken 2008 is running, and I open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (latest version - fresh install after using removal tool) I receive a Quicken for Windows error "Error: Could not load SkuMap"

I've reviewed support for Quicken on this error, but it seems to not be related to Quicken and only being affected by Adobe.

This only happens when having Adobe Acrobat Reader DC open while Quicken 2008 is open.

It only started happening yesterday after adobe updated.

No errors at all if Adobe is closed.

Reinstalled Reader

Removed the local and roaming Adobe folders and allowed app to recreate them.

Used the cleanup utility to fully remove Reader.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Quicken 2008

Same error happens immediately when having both applications open at the same time. Selecting OK on the error makes it go away for a moment but it comes back and Adobe goes unresponsive.

I have no idea how to fix this issue. Please help.

It is 2021 and the same problem identified in 2019 still occurs.  When I open Quicken 2008 whenever Adobe DC is on the same SkuMap error occurs and it doesn't matter which one is turned on first.,  I just updated Adobe DC today and still same problem.

Ok, so now it is July 2022 and I suddenly have the same problem. Does anyone have a solution or will Adobe address this?

Looks like a Quicken issue, that they did fix around 14 years ago. could not load SKUmap? (Q Win 2008 conflict with Adobe PDF) — Quicken Solved: Quicken error - can't load skumap | Tech Support Guy (techguy.org) Seen no reports with Quicken versions after 2008.
