I have created a pdf from a MS Word document. I used save-as, and changed file type to pdf, and when that kept stopping I created a pdf by printing to "Microsoft print to pdf".
I use Adobe DC Reader, and want to use read out loud function. I have 30,000 words so I don't aiways want it read from the start.Sometimes I can select a complete paragraph and it will read. other times I try to select a paragraph and it will start ok then just stop. Sometimes I try to select a paragraph and it will read only one word.
The original MS Word document has multiple tracked changes and comments. I made a copy and accepted all tracked changes, and deleted all comments, and re-created the pdf files and got same result.

Hi Petert,
As you have mentioned above, you are experiencing an issue with the Read Out Loud feature in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
It seems to be the files specific issue.
As the PDF is created using the MS Word PDF creator, there is nothing much that can be done.
Did you check if you experience the similar behavior with other PDFs?
Can you share the MS word file that you convert to PDF format? We will try to replicate the issue at our end.
If yes, you may share the file using the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud
Let us know if you have any question.
Regards,
Meenakshi
