I can't print from Reader 9.1.0. to a Dell 946 all-in-one printer (latest driver installed). No pages print. My OS is MS XP SP3. All other applications on my laptop (including MS Office and Foxit Reader) print to the Dell 946 without problems.
I've discovered two "workarounds" for the Reader 9.1.0 printing problem:
1. I can print to the Dell 946 in draft mode. To accomplish this: "file>print>properties>draft." Of course, the result is a draft quality document.
2. I can print to "Microsoft Document Image Writer," open my file in that application, and then print to the Dell 946 at my desired level of quality. Not a very direct route, but it works.
Frankly, I'm disappointed in Adobe.
FWIW, selecting raster mode: "file>print>advanced>print as image" does not solve the problem for the Dell 946.

Update: I'm now using Adobe Reader 9.2.0.
I'm still using a Windows XP SP3, printing from a Dell laptop to a Dell 946 printer. No change: I still can't print from Adobe in normal or quality mode. Printing in draft works, but sometimes draft quality doesn't meet my needs.
I'm sure Adobe could fix this. I guess it's not a priority.

I blame Microsoft and Adobe both. It seems XP3 is a common demoninator. Wouldn't it just be too amazing if ,say, 2 or 3 techs from either company actually worked on a fix? Told us the status of the problem? Apologized for the delay in fixing it?
Did you try completely deleting Adobe and then reinstalling? Don't forget to reboot before reinstall. Reboot after reinstall. Don't do ANYTHING else but reboot each time. Uncheck "launch the program" tickboxes if they are available. Use an administator account only (if you have login screens). BUT BETWEEN the delete and reinstall SEARCH VEHEMENTLY for ANY Adobe PROGRAM files (I don't mean the pdf files) that may be LEFT by the uninstall. Also have a notebook to WRITE DOWN any files the uninstaller refers to at the end of the uninstall that it couldn't delete. I don't know enough about the registry to tell you what to look for/delete there, by the way.
Let us know if you crack this nut. I just remembered also that XP SP3 is NOT too good to put ON TOP OF SP2, you will find XP more stable if SP 3 is done at install - in other words I have treated it like a new OS and with very few exception have found it to be very stable.
Hope this helps. Just gotta love computers!!!

I must echo the above post (well written attachment by the way). BUT LOOK!
I JUST DOWNLOADED 9.2 and it FIXED the Adobe-won't-print thing on my PC. XP3 w/ Lexmark 4-in1 trying to print actually works now!!! Ever since I upgraded to 9 it hasn't.
As always, resart your machine after ANY software updates for best results, even if it doesn't say to.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
