I keep getting a message that says Acrobat could not open. What's up?

The application might got corrupted.
You may please uninstall the existing application using the cleaner tool-Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
And download the latest one through- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
Let us know if that doesn't work.

Thanks, your suggestion worked although I had some trouble uninstalling and
reinstalling Reader.
The uninstall program did not work so I resorted to shredding the installed
version of Reader with McAfee. After several unsuccessful tries at
reinstalling the Windows 10 version of Reader DC, I was finally successful
by installing the Windows 7 version. I guess this is because my PC was
originally running Windows 7 but was upgraded to Windows 10.
