I'm using Adobe reader XI version 11.0, not sure if there's any difference between adobe reader and acrobat reader but i've never had such issues before until recently.
I'm unable to print any document when using Reader and i have to send the document to my email and open it as Adobe acrobat document file before i can print successfully.
When i click on 'print' in the reader file, it shows sending to printer, and the dialog page disappears but my printer shows 'completed - error' and there is no way to get any more info other than that.
Does anyone know how do i troubleshoot this issue?
I've tried repairing the software, updating to the latest but it still doesn't work and it's happening out of nowhere since it was working fine all along.

Could you please try the following steps and see if that resolves the issue:
1- Disable Protected Mode, launch Reader>select Edit menu>Preferences>under Categories, click Security (Enhanced)>uncheck the box next to Enable Protected Mode at startup and then click OK.
I would like to mention that disabling Protected Mode is for troubleshooting purpose only, and not recommended, Please turn the feature back on after finishing the troubleshooting.
2- If that doesn't work, try printing as Image, launch Reader>select your Printer from the drop down options>click Advanced>and select Print as Image>click OK>Print
Could you please confirm the version of Reader XI installed on the machine?
To check the version of Reader, launch Reader>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe
And , the Operating System you have on the machine-Windows/Mac?

Hello, thank you for replying!
Tried the first method and it didn't help.
As for the second method, the 'print as image' is greyed out and i am unable to select it at all.
Version of Reader XI - 11.0.18
Operating on Windows 7
