Hi J.haf,
You can use PrtScn key on your keyboard to take a snapshot and then open any image editing program like (MS-paint), click 'ctrl+V' and save that file.
Alternatively you can search for snipping tool on your start screen and use it to take snapshots.

Type the windows key + shift + s
this will allow you to highlight waht you want exactly the same way the snapshot feature works.

Only way I've been able to figure out how to do it is to use the select tool, select what you want a snapshot of; when it's highlighted right click and select "take a snapshot" then you can paste it into whatever.

Z: zoom in on a part to take snapshot from
G: select a rectangle area with the crosshair
Release G: the selected area has been copied to the clipboard.

G (select graphics) works for Acrobat versions through X. It doesn't work in DC. It would be really nice to get it back.

...or you can use the embedded function in windows for "partial screenshot" with the combination Shift+Alt-S
It's the same exactly with the "Take a Snapshot" tool you refer.
Unforunately this doesn't work, for some reason, to all Windows versions, thats why I was looking also for a specific shorcut within Acrobat. It's just stupid not to have one!

Right click on the image. In the text box that pops up you will see "take a screenshot." Click on that, and you will get an image that lets you outline the image and click COPY.
