Stop Adobe DC

How do I stop Adobe from updating Reader DC?  I downloaded DC and found I could no longer open PDFs.  Uninstalled and downloaded XI.  Abode removed XI and restored DC.  I uninstalled, etc.  How do I make it stop?

Make changes described below before install Reader XI again.

Set registry value iDisablePromptForUpgrade

Read more here - Windows Updates

Note that registry path is specified for 64bit system. If you have 32bit OS, use

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe ARM\1.0\ARM
