Technical Issue with Acrobat Reader

Hello I am having trouble scanning documents directly onto our eaglesoft program with Acrobat Reader. When scanning it prompts me asking if we want to open or save this file into a document folder when it initially was just allowing us to save it directly onto our eaglesoft dental program that we use. Can you please help to correct this technical issue so it can directly save onto our program as it was doing initially.

How do you scan the documents? Acrobat Reader can't scan documents.
