Trying to edit pdf file in Adobe Reader

I opened a pdf file in Adobe Reader to edit it but it does not respond. I tried to troubleshoot and updated the program but it has not changed anything. What should I do?

Hi jyothsnam44943509

You can't edit in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. You need to use Acrobat Pro or Standard, which are not free, to make edits.

I PAY ADOBE A FEE EVERY MONTH, SO I DONT HAVE A FREE VERSION.  BUT I STILL CAN GET INTO THE EDITOR
