Unable to customize quick access tools

I am unable to add new tools to my 'quick tools' toolbar in adobe reader - I've seen guides online saying there is an option to "customize quick tools" when clicking on the blank space in the top right of the toolbar, but this doesn't show for me. I want to add the text box function to this top ribbon, is there a way I can do this?

Many thanks

Gabriel

These guides online - check they are written for the free Acrobat Reader (they should say). Make sure you aren't trying to follow guides for Acrobat - Acrobat (or Acrobat Pro or Acrobat DC) is paid for and gives a lot more - very confusing trying to apply this stuff to the limited Reader.
