Hi community,

I receive a form to fill out by a customer with the request to fill out.

When I open it with Reader DC 18.011.20040 I get the following pop-up message.

When I open the same document in DC pro 2018.011.20040 I am able to fill the form.

Which option I have to enable? Javascript is already activated. I also try with a fresh Installation of DC Reader in a virtual maschine with the same result.Screenshot (8).png

Hope you can help me.

regards, Chris

Hi Bernd, hi community

when I save as copy in Acrobat Pro, the extension will be removed. further I am able to open in Reader and fill forms, but it's not able to save the filled form. I get a notice, I should print a copy of the filled form for my paper documents.

Yes, I can print to the default Windows PDF Printer ... but that's not a usual and logical way.

Furthermore I have Acrobat Pro as part of my private CC, so it's not possible to use it at or for work.

I opened the document preferences of the original file in Reader and Pro Version. Please have a look at the attached screenshots.

This is a XFA form, not a Acrobat form. The customer should re-send the form.

Or add the form save rights to the form copy with Adobe Acrobat.

Hi Bernd,

maybe it will work to save with other options - maybe not.

I'am not owner of the form, and the VW concern will not change anything quickly.

I have tested the OS X internal Viewer and the Foxit PDF Reader on Win10.

Both are able to open the form with function to fill.

Also the old Acrobat versions work.

It Looks for me, there is a bug in Reder DC.

It is not a bug of Acrobat Reader. The form was modified.
