Undo Button?

Hello.  I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and there is no Undo button anywhere.  I went looking for it after I accidentally deleted all of the text I had spent a good amount of time typing previously!  I then typed into the original box my text was in "Text deleted "

I came to this forum and tried the Ctrl + Z function and it only seemed to work on the most recent edit.  So, it "Undid" the typed "Text deleted".  I selected Ctrl + Z again, and nothing showed up.  I tried it several times.

Any help please?

If you go to the line / ribbon / whatever they call it -- where the print icon is and right click, you will get a drop down menu with several options. Go to "SHOW EDIT TOOLS" which includes "undo" and "redo".  Spent forever trying to figure this out! and I've used Adobe for YEARS.  Shouldn't be this freaking hard.

Good advice but you left out one easy step:  in the upper left corner, there is a magnifying icon with three dots in the middle.  Select this and then drag and drop any of the icons.

Agreed.  No undo button.  All the people replying who say they have it - and that we're unable to use a menu.. have no clue what we're seeing.  We use menus every single day.  The undo option is non existant and it seems that adobe works very hard to be a total pain.   Mission accomplished.  And this is why I only go use Adobe when I'm completely desperate and am willing to lose an entire day down a rabbit hole.

Marked in red, the Undo button in the latest version of Reader (with the new UI):

Be aware it only appears when there is actually something to undo, such as typing into a text field.

If you can't see it there, post the full version number of the application, a screenshot of what you are seeing, and an exact description of your actions in the file.

Thanks MKMarl0l - that helped a lot.  The problem with Adobe (and others) is they DEFAULT to NOT showing tool items in the tool bar - (duhh) so you are forced to first find where to access the tool menu items, THEN find which ones you need.  After doing what you instructed, (right clicking in the ribbon in a blank area beside the printer icon), t in the drop-down window I then simply selected "show all edit tools" and wallah......Too bad nothing is intuitive anymore.  Too many tech-heads designing these things without ease of use in mind.

I have the 2023 version of Adobe Acrobat. I can't find the undo button? Where is it? Why is it hard to find?

I FINALLY found the "undo".  If you select "Menu" at the top right hand corner of your screen, the "undo" is about 3/4ths of the way down the listing, jkust below "Paste" and just above "View".  Hope this helps.

Amazing!!!  All these "experts" including so-called Most Valuable Participants and Community Professionals respond to a question about the Undo Button with answers about the Menu.  Completely different things.  The only useful answer (i.e., talking about Buttons) is by someone who is 'New Here' (mkmarl01).

I think the point here is that people seem to be looking for an undo button but don't know that there is an undo menu. Which, despite what you say, does exactly the same thing. What's the big deal about clicking on a menu? Is it really so uncool these days?

Where is the undo menu? Why does Adobe hide it, or make it difficult to
    find?

PLEASE Adobe would you just make an "undo" button so it is front and center?  I click on Edit...but there is no "undo" anywhere I can find.

It's the first item under the Edit menu. Do you not see it there? If not, what application are you using, including the exact version number, and on what OS?

The Edit menu is where menus normally are. On the Mac, top line above everything else. On Windows, below the window title bar. Menus have become unfashionable, but the core functions are still there.

Undo is on the Edit menu. That's the standard place. Buttons are optional.

Where is the Edit menu? I see Edit on the Toolbar, but it is not there. I see "Edit PDF," but undo is not an option.

I agree - you click on "Edit" but there is no "undo".  Adobe could make this much, much easier with say an undo reverse arrow or such.
