Why are my portrait pdf files being attached to emails in landscape mode?

I have a number of pdf files that when I want to share them via email, they load into the message in landscape mode and are delivered in landscape mode. Effectively cutting off the top and bottom parts of the file. Are there any resolutions to this problem? I am using OSX 10.13, and Mail (for Apple OS) 11.1, and Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader. Thank you.

Hi Jonwwhitworth,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned above that the files are attached and sent in the landscape mode.

When you open the files in Reader, do they open in the portrait mode?

Is it possible to share some of the original files with us, so we can replicate the issue?

You may refer the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud to share the files.

Could you please confirm if you are attaching the file using the option "Send as attachment" in Adobe Acrobat Reader or you directly uploading as an attachment in the email.

Please share the version number of the application and OS installed on your system.

Take help of the steps mentioned here: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Also, let us know the email account/client you are using to send the PDF file as an attachment.

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi
