Zoom settings in a PDF

New Here ,
Feb 28, 2017 Feb 28, 2017

At times I will receive an Adobe PDF at 198%.  I then reduce it to 100% to fit my screen, but I can't seem to save it or send it at 100%, as it always remains at 198% when you open it.  How can I permanently change it to 100% when I open it?

Hi Danl42711062,

Please try the following steps to set the PDF to open at 100% by default:

Go to Edit>Preferences>Page Display>Default Layout and Zoom.

If you set it to 100% in preferences, it should apply to all documents every time you open a file.

However, if the creator of the file has set a higher zoom setting, Reader in that case would continue to open the file with the same setting.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Supriya

Hi there, just to advise, when you click on edit, preferences does not come up at all anymore, you have to click control and K to get preferences up.

I am having this problem and it's making me crazy. I have to "organize" the first page, the page that I created, and then insert 2 other pages that were created by someone else at 198% magnification. How can I get all 3 pages to STAY at 100% all the time? When I open the saved, merged document, I can scroll through from the first page at 100%, but if I scroll down to page 2, then page 1 is automatically smaller because the 2nd and 3rd pages were originally 198%.
