Adobe Acrobat Premium won’t let me edit on PC only Moble?

The Adobe Acrobat Premium subscription I pay for using my Moble phone app for it, won't let me edit on my PC when logged in. It tells me to get a subscription, which I have it with this app and am logged in under this account. It's supposed to let me create, sign, edit, my pdf from mobile device or PC. Why won't it let me do it on PC?

Hi @Brian285470241rzc,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

With the mobile premium subscription, you cannot edit or use the functionalities of the desktop version.

To edit on the desktop version, you will need a subscription to either Acrobat Pro DC or Standard DC. This subscription includes availability for Acrobat Reader Mobile too.

To use the free version and remove the installation of McAfee antivirus, you do get the checkboxes to remove them (depending on the geo-location you are putting up).

Hope this clarifies your question.

-Souvik.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to create, sign, edit, the pdf on PC using Acrobat premium subscription.

Acrobat Premium subscription is only for mobile devices using Android or iOS platform. To Edit and create PDFs on Windows or Mac Platform you would require Adobe Acrobat Pro DC subscription. For more information please check out the help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/faq.html

Note: Once you have Acrobat Pro DC subscription you would not require Acrobat Premium services as these services are already included in Acrobat Pro DC.

Going to cancel my subscription and opt for the free reader given this information. The IOS version chokes on any interesting tasks I give to it and I have here a perfectly fine desktop that is now sullied with McAfee software because to hell with me I guess.

I understand, but in no way feel that 20/month is a fair price for the
ability to use your services on a more capable processor when so many open
source and otherwise better priced options exist for the real operating
system market already. The IOS version is fairly priced, if not a tad
expensive, but is crippled by being locked to IOS.

This is not true I have had this for a very long time and I only use it on my iPhone and the only reason I have it is to edit things. In fact I was editing my resume and then it stopped working out of nowhere this morning. So no that is not true it can't only be used on a desktop. Y'all program is messing up and you're not owning up to it.

Another example of an Adobe cash grab. I have cancelled my premium subscription and will use of the the myriad free options. Adobe is abandoning the consumer market obviously.

Hi @dwforever,

When you purchase a subscription from your mobile AppStore, it is evident that it will be mobile-only and cannot be used on desktops.

You must purchase a subscription from Adobe's official site to do so.

This is very frustrating and it's not obvious that you can only edit on your phone because you can see the docs on ur laptop and your phone. Very disappointing.  I'm going to cancel.  Adobe was never as expensive as it is now and this is just disheartening. I've attached pics of what is shown on iPhone

Hi @Donna33020214dd4m,

Thank you for writing in!

From the screenshots, the fourth and last options (Acrobat Pro) are the ones which can be used cross platform.

The others (Acrobat Premium and Reader Plus) are mobile speicific and cannot be used on desktop.

That's very misleading.  When I searched weather or not I could us my phone subscription on my PC, it specifically stated that the app can be used on two devices, included PC.

Incredibly rediculous!!! It should be in bold!!! At the top and a box to check that says you agree specifically to that! You must pay double to use on all devices. I can't sign in on a school computer!?!?!?

Hi @wilson32572013zx05,

When you do not have the same store services on your computer, how can the subscription be recognized when purchased through the store?

If you have multiple devices you want to work on, the preferred option would be to purchase the PRO subscription from Adobe's website: Adobe Acrobat Pro pricing & options | Adobe Acrobat

This subscription allows you to use the subscription irrespective of the platform.

@338264116qyq I understand your point. However, the store which you purchase the subscription from, is not accessible on computers.

Hence, not usable on desktop devices.
