Adobe subscription on top of Microsoft 365 subscription

New Here ,
Jan 09, 2025 Jan 09, 2025

I already have a subscription for Microsoft 365.

I just opened a PDF file and wanted to add hand-written notes, but Adobe wants me to buy an Adobe subscription even though I'm already loggen in with my Microsoft/Google account.

Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Yes, this is expected behavior. While signing in with your Microsoft or Google account allows you to access basic Adobe Acrobat features, certain premium tools—such as adding handwritten notes (drawing/markup)—require a separate Adobe Acrobat subscription.

If you’re looking for free annotation options, you can still use tools like highlighting and comments without an additional subscription.
