If you're unable to open a PDF file from WhatsApp, try these steps:

Check File Format: Ensure that the PDF file format is supported by your device and the WhatsApp application.
Update WhatsApp: Make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your device. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues with certain file types.
Restart Device: Sometimes, simply restarting your device can resolve temporary glitches that may be preventing you from opening the PDF file.
Clear Cache: Clear the cache and temporary files of the WhatsApp application. This can help resolve any caching issues that may be affecting the file download process.
Storage Permission: Ensure that WhatsApp has permission to access storage on your device. Without this permission, the app may not be able to download and open PDF files.
Check Internet Connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Slow or intermittent connections can cause issues with downloading files.
Try Another Device: If possible, try opening the PDF file on another device to see if the issue is specific to your current device.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the PDF file itself or with the sender's device. You can try asking the sender to resend the file or to provide it through another means.

It sounds like there might be an issue with accessing PDF files on WhatsApp. First, check your internet connection to ensure it's stable. If the problem persists, try restarting your device or updating WhatsApp to the latest version. If none of these solutions work, there might be a problem with the PDF file itself or with WhatsApp's servers. You could try opening the file on a different device or contacting WhatsApp support for further assistance.

I understand the frustration of not being able to open PDFs on WhatsApp. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:

Basic troubleshooting:

Check your internet connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection, either Wi-Fi or mobile data. Sometimes, a weak connection can cause issues downloading or opening files.

Restart your phone: This can often clear up temporary glitches.

Update WhatsApp: Make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed. Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements.

Clear WhatsApp cache: Clearing the app cache can sometimes resolve issues caused by corrupted data.

App-specific troubleshooting:

Check default PDF viewer: Ensure your phone has a default PDF viewer app set and that it's functioning correctly. You can try changing the default app to another PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader or Google PDF Viewer.

Re-download the PDF: Sometimes, the download might be incomplete or corrupted. Ask the sender to resend the PDF or try downloading it again yourself.

Check for storage space: Ensure your phone has enough storage space to download and open the PDF.

Reinstall WhatsApp: As a last resort, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp. Make sure you back up your chats and media before doing so. But ad whatsapp is open completely.

As mentioned in other answer, for MiUi users MiUI optimisation turning on/off can solve the issue. It worked for me I turned it off and if u have off then turn it on.
