Choosing a layer of a pdf with iPhone or iPad.

I am wanting to select a pdf layer of a sewing pattern while using my iPhone or iPad.  I can't find any way to select a layer when I want to print. I have this option with a regular computer but a regular computer is not available at my home. Is the layer selection not an option with the mobile app?
