No, there are no other options (currently) except to use the desktop version. Passwords cannot be removed from PDFs using Acrobat Reader for Mobile.

The Acrobat team uses the UserVoice site for feature requests where the engineers track the requests and others can upvote. You can make your request here:

If you do, please post the link back into this thread so others will see it and upvote. I'll be the first!

While passwords can be set in the mobile app, you need the desktop app to remove them.

See this post from Adobe Employee @AkanchhaS8194121 about passwords in Acrobat for Mobile for details:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-mobile-discussions/you-can-now-password-protect-pdf-using-adobe-acrobat-reader-mobile-app/td-p/11508002

"You can remove the password with desktop Acrobat (you must know the original password)."

This isn't a solution—this is a workaround! There needs to be a solution in the product on the same platform when someone is paying for the product and functionality on Android.

I work in IT, I know there is another Android app that can accomplish the job, but I was wondering if it had any options within paid acrobat version of android.
