Hello,

i have a file with a password. On Mac I can edit it completely normal after putting the password in. On iPad acrobat keeps saying that it's read only even though it's not. Any suggestions ?

Hi @aurit26819509

There are certain feature limitations in the Acrobat Reader mobile app. Currently, it is not possible to edit a password-protected document even if you have put the password, you can only view it.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harsh

You know it does not help only because I need to work on my iPad and not being able to edit on my iPad is frustrating. But it is what it is...

Hi @DocMilner,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

There are limitations when it comes to working with password-protected PDFs as compared to the desktop version of the app.

The team is working to improve how these files are dealt with.

Please fill in the feature request form https://adobe.ly/3TXcHxX to ensure your feedback reaches the dev team directly for review and future implementation.

Once done, please share the link with me here, so I can take it up with them from my side too.

Thanks,
