PDF opens as read only on I phone

I have a pdf which I can open in pro DC desktop fine and fill in the fields and sign. When I open in adobe on my phone it states the pdf is read only. Help please, what's wrong?

I could be possible that it is a protected file, that's why you are not able to use fill and sign on your phone. You can remove protection from the Acrobat DC desktop app if it is password protected.

Hi,

thanks for your response.  I only applied password security to the document late last evening, so the problem was existing before that.  I have put a password security on the document to prevent editing but allowed form filling and signing.   Any other ideas?
