Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!
Read Aloud is a feature that is provided by your device, and Acrobat simply facilitates using the same on the PDFs.
Any changes to the voice should be done through your device's settings.

Hope this helps.

This appears to be out of date. My default text-to-speech engine is one I purchased and it is selected in TalkBack settings. However whatever voice I do not want to use TalkBack itself as I do not need a full screen reader. It appears that you can select from various language voices inside Adobe Acrobat on Android by tapping the globe butting after activating read aloud, but I cannot specifiy to use any specific voice or engine within the language. The only TalkBack settings that seem to affect the read aloud are Speech rate and Pitch.

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and thank you for sharing your feedback and observation.
Read Aloud is designed to be independent of full-screen reader functionalities, with only limited controls—like Speech rate and Pitch—affecting its behavior. We recognize the need for more detailed control, such as selecting specific voices or engines, and will pass your feedback along to our product team for consideration in future updates.
