Reader not opening file on android

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the best on the market and you would expect it to be able to open all .pdf docs. However I have found I need to open many of them using my PC. I purchase an android software call "PDF Utility" , for the purpose of compiling my pictures into a single pdf. This software was able to open the pdf but it's primary function isn't for this. Adobe, please fix your software. I just like using your software because I have used it since I was a teen. I'm reporting this in the hopes you can fix your software. I have attach pics for reference.

Hi @k28306380fib6,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Would you mind sharing the sample file for us to reproduce the issue at our end for further investigation? The issue could be due to multiple factors but the major reason could be the architecture of the PDF through which it was created.

Look forward to hearing from you.

If you send a PM to Adobe Employee Souvik, he is the only one who will see it. Staff can be identified by the Adobe logo and "Adobe Employee" on their avatars. Don't send it to anyone else!

Is PDF Utility the app you are using to create the PDFs? If so, they are not Adobe PDFs. Adobe Acrobat Reader is only the viewer. Since you can open the file in Reader on your PC, can you go to File > Properties > Description and post a screen shot of that panel?

I also noticed in this screenshot that the required OS is Android 7.0 and up. Can you tell us what version you have?

"Adobe Acrobat Reader is the best on the market and you would expect it to be able to open all .pdf docs."

Unfortunately, that is not the case. Acrobat Reader for Mobile will not open PDFs made in LiveCycle, for instance. LiveCycle is no longer supported and has been replaced by Adobe Experience Manager, but we see that a lot of government agencies are still using it for official forms.

Adobe does not own PDF, as they gave it away years ago. You can expect to open Adobe PDFs in Reader for Mobile (if they are not locked for opening), but not all PDFs are as well made as those from Adobe.
